Psychoeducational Assessment - $2,750
This assessment will help you best your support your child at school when there are learning concerns.
A psychoeducational assessment is designed to answer questions around academic achievement, potential, or delay. For example, a psychoeducational assessment determines if there is an intellectual delay or gifted intellectual development, a learning disorder (e.g., dyslexia) or gifted academics, an attention disorder (e.g., ADD or ADHD), and/or social-emotional challenges that impact school (e.g., anxiety or depression). Note that a psychoeducational assessment contains the ADHD assessment too.

Neuropsychological Assessment - $3,750
This assessment will provide you with a comprehensive picture of cognitive abilities and brain health.
A neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive evaluation to understand brain health. Neuropsychological assessments include global development (IQ), academic development (reading, writing, math), attention, executive functioning, language, visual-spatial skills, processing speed, verbal learning/memory, visual learning/memory, and psychosocial health. Collateral information will also be obtained when possible using standardized questionnaires. A neuropsychological assessment contains all the tests included in the other assessments (i.e., ADHD assessment, psychoeducational assessment, memory assessment).
Please note that my neuropsychological assessments are for clinical purposes and not for medical-legal or insurance reasons.

Cognitive skills evaluated include attention, processing speed, learning, memory, and executive functioning. Post-concussion symptoms and psychosocial health are also measured. Intellectual/Gifted Assessment - $1,250 to 1,500
This assessment will measure intellectual abilities (often used to determine if someone is gifted or to determine if someone has an intellectual developmental disability).
Is your child bored at school and unchallenged? Do you want to apply to specialized programs for gifted learners? A gifted assessment is designed to answer questions around intellectual (and academic if needed) achievement. Because of ethical obligations for psychologists to properly document assessments, a gifted assessment includes a report even if your child does not meet the criteria for giftedness.
-The cost of the gifted assessment that includes IQ only (e.g., required by Westmount Charter School in Calgary) is $1200.
-The cost of the gifted assessment that includes IQ and academic testing (e.g., required by GATE program with CBE) is $1500.
-The cost of intellectual testing with adaptive ratings is $1200. Different government and funding organizations, for example the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program in AB or Community Living in British Columbia (CLBC) in BC, may require documentation of developmental and adaptive levels as part of the application for services. The psychological testing involves measurement of intellectual abilities and adaptive skills.
