- I am a registered to practice psychology in Alberta (CAP#3581) and in British Columbia (CHCPBC#2906)
Training and Education
- I obtained my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calgary (accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association)
- I completed a pre-doctoral residency and two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology
Experience
- For 16 years, I was a staff neuropsychologist at the Alberta Children's Hospital (pediatric tertiary care hospital) in Calgary, AB. In this service, I provided neuropsychological assessments to medically complex youth
- I was the clinical lead of the neuropsychology service for 12 years at the Alberta Children's Hospital
- I was a consulting neuropsychologist for the Calgary Flames (NHL) and the Calgary Wranglers (AHL). I now provide back-up neuropsychological services for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the MLS.
- I was a Senior Psychology Advisor with WorkSafeBC in Vancouver, BC. I am now manager of psychology services.
Awards and Recognitions
- I am a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology
- I received multiple awards by the National Academy of Neuropsychology, including the Early Career Award and the Nelson Butters Award for top publication in Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology (awarded twice)
- I was nominated twice for the AHS President’s Award for Excellence
- I was nominated for the National Academy of Neuropsychology's Reitan Clinical Excellence Award for contributions to the field of neuropsychology
Research and Publications
- I am an adjunct faculty member at the University of Calgary
- I have over 160 publications and over 150 presentations
- I co-edited the textbook Pediatric Forensic Neuropsychology
- I co-authored three neuropsychological tests that other clinicians use: the Child and Adolescent Memory Profile (ChAMP), the Memory Validity Profile (MVP), and the Multidimensional Everyday Memory Ratings for Youth (MEMRY)
